Giving her parents all that grief
Rich as hell but still a thief.
Good luck all, I still have 90 to go but my eyes have had enough so am off for a bike ride.x
Sorry, but I totally don't get the Winona Ryder riddle about the C8. Anyone have a less cryptic clue?
oooh i'm impressed carolsecs!!!!!
i mean carolecs
The C8 clue is very clever. The clue is not about the person, its about the type of rhyme - which is based on a person's name.
the C8 - A funny poem of closed-form with four lines rhyming ABAB, usually about a famous person from history or literature
a 2nd C7/48
anyone have any clues on the P9?
P/9 length of a boundary
As for the 8's, what am I missing?
I have: A8x1, C8x2, L8x1 and W8x1. I know there are 7 more.
i have 4 c 8 so far
Oops! Smarter than I thought. I have the M8 50 too. Only missing 6 of the 8's then.
and an m , an r and an e, i'm still missing 3 of the 8's, hope that helps
Hmm. That's interesting. I have an
L8-55. Howzabout a clue on the L840, Leef.
I'm at 149 and at the "make up goofy combinations" stage.
L8/40 a red soil produced by rock decay I am at 167 and have started goofy babbling also going back adding er to every word and ier sometimes I get the long ones that way can't see making it to 200 words today though!
Thanks, speedfreak. Got it.
still trying with the l8/40!!!
L8/40 A red residual soil in humid tropical and subtropical regions that is leached of soluble minerals, aluminum hydroxides, and silica but still contains concentrations of iron oxides and iron hydroxides.
hows it going mate??
A8/40 - don't think it's been mentioned before.
anyone have a clue for the W8/70? Found all kinds of other w's but not that one.
Darleen, if you have the w/6/36, just add an ending.
Add an S to the w/8/70 and voila w/9/90.
Periwinkle, I have 3 w6's but none of them "wants' anymore endings... Guess I'd better hunt up another one....
tedy, is that a second a840? And does anyone have the a740? I'm going nuts
The W/6 I am referring to is the basis for the w/7/8/9.
w/6: shrivel, dry up
smack me with a dictionary, Periwinkle. I thought I had TRIED that one earlier. tsk.
:) Sometimes I miss the most obvious words.
I'm soooo sorry --- just got back to the computer. my post at 5:46 p.m. is NOT a second A8 --- i had missed the first one posted in the a.m. somehow. Sorry to confuse everyone - even myself.
Too many messages to sort out. I have 10 8's:
and believe that there is another C65. Does anyone know what the last 8 is? I hope that it hasn't already been posted. :)
c 5 20 with a suffix there was no definition
roberts1 -- there is another C8/65. But I haven't found that last 8 word either ..???
so that leaves one more. 12 8 letter words.
does any one wanna share the missing one?
the c 5 is a type of quartz
Thank you for the clues. I vaguely remember the C5 but probably would not have come up with it without help. One to go! (On the 8's. Too many to go otherwise.)
sigh. Any clue at all for the A8?
How does anyone ever have enough time to finish one of these larger ones??
stay up all night?
the A7/28 & A8 are based from an A5/10 that means to adjust of change
LOL, onyx --- you're right!! I take care of my almost-3yr. old granddaughter during the day - and she doesn't take kindly to me starting at the computer instead of playing with her! And I definitely need my sleep to keep up with her!!!
A8 . . . think "tailors"
a three year old is a whole lot better than a computer screen, my 11 year old keeps me on my toes
Absolutely, onyx. I wouldn't trade this precious child for anything!! My daughter brought her home at age 12 months from an orphanage in Nepal --- and she has blessed us from the very first time we laid eyes on her!!
But I can occupy her for a while with her crayons, etc., and a dvd right beside me at the computer!!! the best of both worlds!!
then there is always a nap! : )
On that note, I believe I will call it a night. Good luck all in finding the last 8 and however many others you have to go. Happy hunting! :)
Thanks ... again, can't believe I didn't see it earlier. tsk. brain dead from the heat.
