Since you & I seem to be the only ones on, and if we're not disturbing anyone, I, too, will reminisce. My high school graduating class had <200 people. On my first day at college, at 8:00a.m., freshly scrubbed & excited, I walked into intro chemistry. There were >250 people in just that class. Overwhelmed does not begin to describe my state of mind for the first 2-3 months.

Oh, I wanted nothing more than to scurry back home to the little Georgia town I came from and enroll in the local comm. college. I was miserable my entire freshman year. But once I got beyond that, into smaller classses and seminars, it became more manageable. They should warn kids from small towns!
