Shivs Fitz (a.k.a Siobhan F.) is a 55-year-old female from London area, South-East in England.

My Irish-Gaelic name "Siobhan" for
those who may be unfamilar, is
pronounced "Shiv-ahn," hence the
shorter nickname "Shivs" my family
has always called me.

I'm happy to say I've given up the rat-race, to take a little sabbatical from working until I find something else that might interest me. I worked until recently as a self-employed event specialist and consultant with my own company. I've worked in this field for a few years, and in public relations and communications (financial and entertainment industries) since my graduation from university. My work has taken me over to Ireland and further abroad to the US at times. I also worked in Ireland for a while... the country my parents each came here from to meet, marry and have their large family of six here in southeast London. I'm the youngest and the only girl... was I spoilt? Not much! :oP My siblings and I were born in Eltham and grew up there and in Woolwich... both suburbs of the London borough of Greenwich, where it's always the right time. ;o)

While I was living in Ireland I met and married my husband, Craig. We live on the outskirts of London with our two delightful children, a daughter and son. We also share our home with a border collie cross and a big fluffy ginger cat. We've just moved, so we're busy getting our new home sorted out, organised and hopefully soon, decorated to our personal tastes. :o)

Some favourite pastime of mine: word puzzles and games. We often enjoyed family games of Scrabble, especially on quiet Sunday afternoons in winter and during bad weather. I find word puzzles help one's Scrabble game and vice versa... and they're always good fun. A friend of our family's was introduced to Babble through another friend. Word of mouth being what it is, here I am. Hiya!! :o)
