have bought the round needle to knit Don's beanie. i honestly don't know how people use the four needle system. i only made it to row two, then pulled it all out. have beeb knitting more mini teddies. the little jumper i designed was a bit too big. have to reduce width by 20 stitches. it should be perfect then. also have bought the 4 ply cotton yarn to knit for baby girl in Thailand. my sister-in-law's grand-daughter. i have so many projects on the go. not bored any more...lol

It is like a dry rub, with kosher salt in it. I also put butter between the skin and the meat and stuff the turkey with carrots, onion and celery. Makes for a great smell while it's roasting.

my new oven is the GE Twin Flex - it is a double oven in the footprint of a single. was so nice to have! using both ovens right now. the lower, bigger one can hold up to 14lb turkey, which is plenty for us.

interesting. for me, turkey is the centerpiece. my favorite. so the son in law outdid the fil, becuase he let the turkey rest and injected it with a butter herb mixture. and they brined for the first time. first time i ever had turkey there that was...edible.

i hear you carla. over here in Melbourne they finally got their acts together, and all the adjoining suburbs have made a special path for pedestrians, and bikes along our beautiful coast line.

same here carla. so rude. sometimes it's a free-for-all here. some consideration from all parties would be lovely to see. most of our main roads have bicycle dedicated lanes, but even then there are drivers who will park their cars in them. such a mean thing to do.

in one suburb they solved that problem.they put low concrete barriers between the bike lane and the car lane. bikes can get through the gaps, but if cars try it, they risk damaging under the car.

that's hard Bea. i still have to be careful where we go. i was stunned to find out that one of our local cinemas has NO disabled access. i had to climb up the stairs, carrying my walker. nearly did me in. no where else was showing that particular film.
