i love a good deep snowfall and staying home to watch the snow falling. i grew up in connecticut and it was such gorgeous snow all winter. maryland has ugly winters. grey skies and bare trees and no gorgeous snow.

No, but I have a winch and can drive in pretty deep snow--for a while at least.

i remember days when my husband had to have someone in a truck come get him to take him to the hospital because we couldnt get out. now snowfalls are minor. i remember in 1978, he was on call and it snowed 3 feet and he had to stay in the hospital for 5 days straight on call since no one could get in or out! Maryland has no snow equipment due to it seldom snowing.

with the old snow tires it was also good. but we would go to an oil can on the bottom of the big hill we lived on top of and fill a carton with sand and we could go up and down with ease. no issues. sand is all that was used. nothing else that i remember. i am old though.

when I was in school in the 70s and 80s we would be at school when it started snowing and our bus could make it up one hill in my neighborhood but not the second, so we always had to hike up. now if there's the hint of a snowflake they cancel school.
