Fair enough. I've had so much fun adding all sorts of new features - like being able to click on the letters in Babble itself, word lists that are smart - loading to the right spot, entering to both babble and clues, preventing clues going to chat with a powerful add box, instant colour coding of success, fail, already entered, and some fun stuff for a bit of variety.

I researched a reason why "bike" has never appeared:
a likely explanation: B and K share the same die in standard 5×5 Boggle: B, J, K, Qu, X, Z. Only one face can appear in a grid. And checked all 7,264 valid imported grids: none contains both B and K. “Bike” is absent from both the saved word lists and the actual letter layouts.
Our Babble archive follows that same pattern, so BIKE, BACK, BAKE and BOOK appear to be structurally excluded, rather than extraordinarily unlucky.

I had to do some server maintenance, so the site was down for a few minutes. A huge vulnerability was announced this morning. I had to do my best to protect the ancient server that Babble is hosted on. Maybe this will finally give me the kick in the rear that I need to get Babble moved onto a modern server.
